You can draw in Microsoft Word. It is not as flexible as using a drawing programme, but sometimes you just need a quick sketch to explain something and don't want to change to another programme, draw it, save it, go back to the wordprocessor, import and insert the graphic ........ It all seems too much!
Let's get drawing!
We will make the picture simple. Since we are in the library or computer lab, draw the placement of tables and chairs. Add some fictional names so people know where to sit. I expect you to get up and move around to check where furniture is located.
Open Microsoft Word and create a new blank document.
Insert a rectangle or circular shape. Copy it. Paste it multiple times until it matches the number of tables in the library or computer room. Enlarge and reduce the size of the rectangle using the handles until they fit on one page. Rotate them into position using the green handle.
Insert a line for each chair using the shape tool. It is expected that you will be getting up and down to compare your work to the real thing in the library or computer room.
Now insert text boxes and write some names of made up students over the line representing the chairs.
Use a text box and write your name and class. Save your work.
Finished - ask your teacher for permission to print.
Oh! - did I forget to tell, you have to complete this in 1 (one) lesson.
