Kidpix 3D how to's.
|
Task 1
You (and your partner) are going to create a fairy tale using Kidpix. You will need to refresh your knowledge of fairy tales so listen or read some fairy tales. You can find them in the webmix below or on the library shelf - 398.2.
The fracture fairy tales and the story time tiles may need to be played for you by the teacher at school or you can look at them at home.
The same titled fairy tale have different characters or even different endings. Some fairy tales are based on legends that were told throughout hundreds of generations and people would change parts because they were trying to teach a lesson or just forgot parts and made up the missing bits.

Now that you (and your partner) have viewed a few fairy tales, you need to decide which one you will retell, perhaps with your own twist.
Task 2
Open Kid Pix3D and explore all the backgrounds, animations, stickers and stamps to see if it is possible to tell the story you have planned. Take a look at the pictures available on Nuwarra's network - use shortcuts then graphics. Remember, you can draw objects too! You may see some different objects that will help you modify your story. Have your notebook nearby, so you can write your ideas down for next week.
Task 3

Click the Flipbook tool to put the picture into the slideshow.
Make as many pictures with text, as you need to tell your fairy tale. Choose the voice to read the text on the slide. Use the Flipbook tool to save each slide to the slideshow.
Save you slideshow in the class folder using your name(s)and the name of your fairy tale.
Each lesson you will open the slideshow and continue your pictures until you are finished.

Test the length of time each slide needs to stay on the screen for all the text to be spoken.
A little trick you may wish to use is the begin briefly with a black slide and end with one.
